2nd day in school...

papa took morning off to see ian in school. woke ian up around the same time but we left home a bit earlier today. papa have less things to do since he is not going to work. ian hasn't finish his bread when we left home. not mainly due to we left early. he is just not in the mood for his bread. eat very slow. just continue to feed till he reach his classroom.

papa drive us over. mama went in with ian while papa went to ta pau nasi lemak for breakfast. really see the difference. not as messy as yesterday. everyone are all in order. ready for class in their classroom. mama bring ian to his classroom and went out to put his left over bread (in a container) into his bag after informing the teacher about the bread. so happen that both the teacher also left the room and suddenly a familiar cried was heard. it was ian! went in and saw ian sitting on the floor rubbing his forehead while making some complain noise. gosh! another bungalow! no one saw how he fell down. papa reach and saw ian with his new bungalow. feeling so heartache. the teacher get us some ice and we apply for him. continue to feed him his bread while apply ice for him.

later we left. after we had our breakfast, papa went back to watch ian. mama stay at home to do her work. tried so hard to concentrate but guess she will need some time to really get use to it. funny... always wish to have a peaceful time to work but when there is, it turns out different story. sms papa in between to check on ian.

as usual and predicted. he is all by himself again. when everyone is sitting down, singing or listening to teacher while she teaches. he is walking around playing with the toys. just hope he will soon joins them. papa said that today they had barley and the teacher feed him. while the teacher did not pay attention to him he created a mess by pouring off the barley from the cup. hai.. actually is indeed sad to see him like this. of course we wish to only send him in when he can enjoy the singing and learning but too bad we have to send him in hoping that he will start talking. so he is now definitely not fit to attend school. hai.. let's cross our fingers and hope for the best.

mama went over earlier so that we could get the registration done. tada! ian got his 1st uniform. although the colour is not so appropriate, red colour but no worries. he will just look as good in any colour *wink*. we let ian tried them. looks just fitting. but of course he is wearing 2 layer then. mama check on 1 of the boy's size and he is definitely bigger size than ian. he is wearing 's' size so we stick to 's' size for ian then. they gave ian a free bag as well but is a bit big for ian since he don't have any books to bring yet. so, we shall keep it for the moment.

then we bring ian home earlier once we have done. today they actually have swimming session. but notice only some kids attended. the teacher said that those that did not attend usually will have water play instead so, will definitely need some clothes for water play. we was thinking to look for some suitable, of course not too expensive swim wear for ian this weekend. kids grow very fast so no point getting something expensive, right?

saw some kids having their biscuits. should be they bring on their own but once they eat all the other kids also wanted a share. end up the teacher have to help to divide them as is not enough for all, like break them into half. then, papa share something interesting... hehe.. papa said that 1 of the kid left the biscuits container open on the table and ian took 1 piece to eat. haha.. ya. ian don't know how to open a container so, when it is opened... mama ask what was the kid's reaction? papa said that he was not in the room. but then when he saw ian eating, then? papa said ian put the whole piece into his mouth. haha.. mama just can't help laughing. trying to "curi-curi makan" but smart also for not leaving proof. haha.. but that 1 piece doesn't look small to mama. how can he put the whole piece into his mouth? *big "?"*

we had lunch at ah koong. ian ate a bit of papa's and mama's wan tan mee (flat and thin version). had 3 fish balls. he can't finish his porridge. he is too full. then we went home. mama let ian poo while papa get ready to go to work. papa help to soak ian's uniform. mama washed them while ian sleeping. hopefully they will dried in time for ian to wear tomorrow. mama gave ian a simple bath, change him and put him to sleep around 1. he must be tired as he sleep through till 3+ (almost 3.30). mama is the one that actually wake him up. but not those hard to wake up and crying type as mama bet he must have had a good rest.

ian's schooling had started and our worrying will start as well. papa with his non-stop worry that ian will be bullied by the older kids. can understand how he feel as mama feel the same as well. just hope for the best... ian, we will be waiting for the day to come. we believe in you...

hepatitis a vaccine - weekend...

hepatitis a is not one of the compulsory vaccination enforced but we decided to give it to ian. according to ian's dr, he only need to take it once and you do not need any booster unlike hepatitis b. in total you need 2 jabs in 6 months apart. but you must not exceed a year for the 2nd jab. otherwise will have to do it all over again.

we wake ian up early on sat to get ready for his vaccination in sunway. we were there around our usual time, 8.30am. to our surprise, our queue number is 30 and currently they are serving number 2. this is just to get ian registered. there are so many people and we are the 5th patient for ian's dr. gosh! this is the worst we could recall. even worst as his dr is that day's dr on call. haiyo.

later we found out that they now start on 8.30 and no longer 9. no wonder la. we know for sure we are not late but why we are queued so behind already. then, 1 of the dr (the dr that took ian's case when he was infected with hfmd) was on mc and his patients has to be taken over by the rest of the dr. hai. no wonder again... when we are done, is almost 11 already. is the longest so far.

due to the wait papa and mama have to take turns to walk ian around. he will on and off sit to watch tv (disney channel) but not for long of course. ian behave very well when the nurse took his weight and height. mama told him this morning while feeding him milk. ask him to let nurse to take his weight and height as we don't have those utilities to get his reading. that's the only chance we can get his reading. bravo! thanks, ian... glad that his reading are all in place. *big smile*

then we had breakfast at 1 of the hawker center at ss15. a new place for us. is pack with people. we have to share table with a couple. papa ordered dried yee mee for mama, fried tong hoon for himself and some fish balls of course for ian. while waiting, mama feed ian a piece of rusk. this naughty boy. don't know why he will never be able to feed himself that. he will never bite it. he will just put in and then out again from his mouth without biting it. mama have to feed him. he enjoys the yee mee. his 1st try again. we ta pau those left over fish balls for ian later. he later finish them at home.

something cute happen during breakfast. ian called the couple sitting opposite us. he bang loudly on the table and mumble something loudly. the guy was shock, turn and look at ian. ian and him exchange smile. the lady was curious looking at ian and later found that the guy was smiling to ian. we drop by a shop along the way to pick our car to buy some fruits. bought honey apple for ian to try. mama use to eat that when pregnant ian.

then we went to buy ian's veggies before we head home. papa feed ian lunch, shower him and nap with him. mama busy in the kicthen. cleaning the fat from the chicken bone to boil soup to cook ian's porridge. usually ah poh do that when we go back melaka using her double boiler to steam it. this time mama tried doing it using slow cooker. there goes mama's afternoon. no nap on saturday. when everything done, is time to go out. we got to shop earlier this round as we need to attend ian's little cousin's full moon (ronnie, ah pek's little princess).

we did a quick shop for ian's veggies. then mama shop for a while as jusco having some special sales for its 25th anniversary. but no luck. mama only manage to buy a pair of shoes for herself. while papa shop at isetan. isetan having some sales for japanese junk food. we tried to look for animal puzzle for ian but couldn't find any. we left around 6+. papa drop by sri petaling's pasar malam. he wanted to grab some junk to eat but eventually only manage to buy ian's pear. while waiting for papa, feed ian porridge in the car.

something funny happen at this time. we already plan to change ian's diaper before we go for the full moon party but while feeding him, seh ku suddenly felt her pants get wet (ian is sitting on her lap while mama feed him). oppss.. ian's wee wee overflow. his pants was wet. stop feeding and get him changed 1st. lucky not too bad. bit dry up by time we reach ronnie, ah pek's house in puchong.

this was ian's 2nd full moon party. 1st was baby nicole's (mama's friend, may and lawrence aunty uncle's princess) full moon almost 1 year ago, some time around june. ian behave quite ok. but he refuse to try any of the food. we ended up have to keep him happy with his cornflakes. but eventually we got to stop giving him when he started messing up the place. he some how prefer to walk along the corridor outside the house. may be too many people in the house. he gets so sticky due to the walking.

seh ku said he play with shern ko ko. running... of course ian won't be able to catch up with shern as he is already 10 years old. but this little fellow was kinda cunning. he stop running. then shern thought that he don't want to play and walk to him, he started to run. so he gets ahead of him. cunning right? haha.. even shern told seh ku this is what he noticed. haha..

there is a little girl in the party. we guess she is definitely younger than ian judging from the way she walks. not very stable yet. but then she keep walking around. very cute. actually we wanted ian to make friend with her but worry that ian might be a bit rough for her since she don't really walk stable yet. anyway, ian prefer to stay outside. when she leave, she give high 5 to everyone. really cute. we get ian to give high 5 to her as well. this little boy, don't know whether he is shy or just want to manja. he will turn over to hug mama tightly after he give her 5. mama get him to do twice and he behave the same for both time.

we left and reach home 9+. gave ian a quick shower, feed him some milk and get him ready for bed. that's our saturday.

we did not take any photo. just seh ku tried to catch some shots. will put in later after getting them from seh ku. we really do not take much photos lately. mostly are on the 25th each month. getting lazy. hehe..

actually we forgotten to give ian a course of paracetamol. we usually will give ian 1 course at night on the day he get his vaccination just in case he might catch a fever. but due to all the rush after the night outing we forgot about it. lucky that ian was fine. no fever. yay! actually are we starting to take things easy? hehe.. anyway, ian is a big boy now. he should be able to handle it better, right?

since we skip our park session on saturday, we plan to do it on sunday. somehow this little boy woke up early in the morning around 5+ and that causes mama get more tired (already tired) and eventually we decided to skip it for this week. he get back to sleep as usual after a while but we can't let him sleep till too late as we have to go for his class around 3. so we only let him sleep till around 8.30.

we went for breakfast at a hawker center, a new place for us again around usj. papa ordered pan mee for himself and chee cheong fun for mama. mama prepared fish balls from home for ian that ee po bought. ian had mama's chee cheong fun. yummy! he enjoys it. then we let him try papa's pan mee. ohh.. he don't really likes it. actually papa also don't like it. when mama let him try pan mee again he refuse to turn over. but once mama said is chee cheong fun, he turn over. uhh.. he understand see..

we drove around to get some contact numbers for some nursery, ta pau nasi lemak for seh ku and we went home. mama play ball with ian while papa prepare for cooking. papa plan to cook dinner. a ball we got from ian's dr yesterday. of course not for long. something cute happen later when mama carry ian to the kitchen to visit papa while he do the cooking preparation. papa also saw it. hehe.. guess what? ian kiss mama on the lips. aawww... so sweet. he did it few times. that was ian's 1st kiss for mama... on the lips...

when papa is done. papa feed ian lunch, shower him and nap with him. while mama get the rest of the thing ready in the kicthen and the rest of the house cores. this round mama manage to get a short nap.

during the short nap, was being disturb by the little fellow's giggle. ya! he giggle so loud and so long while he is sleeping. we both staring at him and very sure that he is sleeping. we both were laughing too looking at him giggle happily...

times up. woke him up and feed him some milk. then, off we go for his class. this round is a revision class for letter "q". learn to write letter "q". play with little quilt. fold quater. there is something new this week. ian was given play-dooh...

roll it into a ball and flatten it. then use an ice-cream stick to divide it into quater.

this week's art is doing a quilt. quilt is made of many small pieces of cloth. for the art, the kids will paste many small pieces of different design piece of paper (in the shape of square) onto a big sheet of paper that have many drawn squares. those small piece of designed square are suppose to be paste onto the drawn squares. along the pasting process, ian did something cute. papa also there to witness it. he picks up a small designed square and put it on 1 of the drawn square. hehe.. since he initiated, mama goes along with it. ask him to pick and where he wants to put and mama help him to put glue then guide him to paste it. when paste it, he actually will use his finger to tap tap on it (mama thought him so). papa and mama is so happy with ian's initiative. good boy!

this week's tumble tots session has lots of new challenging task. but too bad that our ian was being so distracted. he did not pay attention to what he is doing at all. especially when he is climbing up and down, his eyes were looking else where. even the instructor is calling out for him to look at where and what he is doing because is so dangerous as he is climbing up and down. there is 1 task that requires ian to hold 2 rings, 1 by each hand and try to lift himself up to support his weight with his both hands. of course ian did not manage to do it. he basically doesn't know what and how is lift himself up. but he did manage to actually hold on to the 2 rings by himself. at 1st papa has to hold his hands but later he could do it himself.

stick again! but not 2 little stick. is a big, long stick. not too bad. of course ian won't do most of the things. a very obvious thing we notice. he don't know how to jump! how to teach a toddler to jump? no idea. tried googled before but no luck. wonder when ian will only know how to jump. because they ask the kid to jump across the stick front and back and left to right. every week there is sure something that need ian to jump. *sigh*

then we went home. papa cook dinner. we realize we forgot to buy bread. mama drove ian with seh ku along to the nearest petrol station to buy bread.

that's it. that's our weekend...

by the way, ian giggle again during his sleep on sunday night. the same loud, funny giggle during his nap. but this round is shorter. wonder what he actually dream?...

a, b, c...

today, ian woke up without crying. lately he tend to cry when he wakes up from his nap. mama's guess, missing his "tutu". ya. we are trying to stop him from that. will talk more about this in a separate post later.

mama notice he is scratching his neck. it turns red. gosh.. so, mama apply some drapolene cream on it and ask him not to scratch anymore. then, he is there happily playing with his alphabet peg puzzle. mama notice that he scratch his neck again. mama just said, "ian stop scratching". he started a bit of his cry. we called it fake one because no tears. to please him so mama gave him the alphabet mat to play. he likes to destroy them (took out all the alphabet). mama only gave him 6 - a to f.

ian is holding his "a". mama read "a". then mama ask him where is the "b"? to her surprise he picks up the "b". is correct! then it goes till "f". wau! he knows his abc. let's try again... yes! is correct again! ok, one more time. this time the "c" is like far away. he really crawl over to pick it up. yay! ian knows his abc.

later mama try to test him. notice that he knew them in sequence. once mama jump he can't do it. actually mama can't be sure yet whether he really can't do it or he refuse to do it. when mama doesn't read in sequence. means not what he expected, he turn to look at her. if mama keep saying it, he even attempt to pull her mouth. showing sign to ask her to stop saying that.

talking about stop saying that. in some occasion that mama keep telling people (once is ee po, another is the cleaning lady) about how naughty he is, ian actually tried to cover mama's mouth or may be you can call it "pull" to stop her from saying it. haha..

[update: later at night, mama bring up the alphabet mat for ian to play upstairs. hope he will show papa what mama had witness. glad that he did it. actually in the evening mama try to get him to show seh ku but he refuse to do it. mama even went and called seh ku over our room to see it. so happy to see papa's happy smiling face. ian keep giggling each time when we clap and applause "clever boy!" when he completed them. we all have a great time last night...]

[update again: the next day, mama tried with the number mat. 0-5. cool! he manage to do it as well. later, mama try to be more adventurous. mix both a-f and 0-5. cool! ian manage to pick the a-f but not for the 0-5. but then 1 thing mama notice. he actually do recognize the shape. note that "4" and "A" actually in a glance looks similar. when mama called for "A" he picks up "4" but when he bring it closer for a look he put in down and pick "A". good job! later mama thinks ian gets a bit annoyed with the mixture and refuse to do anymore...]

sit with mama...
lately, ian will on and off come to mama while she is working (sitting in front of her laptop). he will try to climb onto the chair she is sitting. try to sit in front of her. mama will help him and let him sit there. he will sit there for a while and get back down to continue walking around. once, while mama busy discuss with her colleague through msn, ian try to climb up. she try to push him away but he insist. he win as mama give in. let him sit there. the little "kepoh" boy, also want to type for the msn. haiyo...

give me a kiss...
sometimes ian will place his face to our lips asking you to give him a kiss. haha.. so cute. seh ku said he did that to her as well. once, again he climb up to mama's chair while she is sitting there but not to sit in front. instead, he request to sit at a carry position (sit on mama's lap, hugging mama). he put his face to her lips asking for a kiss. and is a few times. before he eventually get down. sooo.. cute...

where is your "z"?...
ian likes to throw his alphabet peg puzzle (actually he throws everything *sigh*). then while he walks around he tend to kick them here and there. he also likes to hold them (1 at a time) while he walks around. sometimes leaving them behind at places he been. so, after a while for those puzzle lying around, mama will put some effort to put them back. just in case after too long, she will have hard time looking for them since they are tiny. opps.. missing a "z". this is what happen while mama looking for it...

[mama]: ian, where is your "z"?
[ian]: (walking up and down. never bother - always have been like that...)
[mama]: (continue asking where is your "z" while looking for it...)
[ian]: (giggling away...)
[mama]: (continue looking...) why are you giggling? i am asking you where is your "z"? see your "z" is... (about to say missing while looking at the puzzle...)

to her surprise the "z" is there. so, now you know why the naughty boy is giggling about.

later, again while mama put them back and this time missing a "u". before mama even say a word, there comes ian running back with the "u" and put it back nicely to complete them. how sweet and cute, right?

mothers' day - weekend...

mama's 3rd mothers' day... is not that bad after all... really...

ah poh and ku ku came on friday to spend their weekend here. we manage to sneak some time to spend alone. only 3 of us. although they are only short ones but they are as good. they really gave mama a sweet mothers' day rememberance...

we went to mpsj field on saturday morning. ku ku and ah poh joined us. mama tried to give ian as much freedom but he sometimes try to go to some inappropriate area. eg, run into people where they are running, go to the fence etc. he sweat even more than papa who actually jog for 5 rounds around the track field.

we went to apollo for breakfast. ian had "chee cheong fan" and fish balls. we ta pau the fish balls to feed him later. went to ta ku's house to meet them. we are seeking their advise and idea for renovating our new house. we plan to go around houses there that had the original same design as ours next week to get more ideas before we decide on anything. hopefully we can get our house done and move in before the next cny.

we then bought some breads and head home. notice the missing part of buying ian's veggies? papa happen to go for a meeting on friday. he came home after that and he was early. so we went out to buy them on friday evening. take a rest and went to mid valley after ian's nap and shower. yes! shower! ian enjoys them very much. hehe.. we drop by to pay ee po a visit before we went to mid valley since she is not feeling well. hmm.. what's the story here? mr. bean animated series' music! that was ee po's sms tone. it really catches ian's attention. seh ku had it copied to her phone and she have to repeat it for ian. haha.. we all had fun too. looking at ian smilingly enjoys it.

we have some thong kei egg tarts while we did a quick shop at carrefour. ian had his 1st try of egg tart. yummy! he likes it just like mama do. hehe... then we had dinner at laminala. this round we let ian had his fried rice 1st before we top him up with his porridge. bravo! he really eat lots of them. we only need to top him up with very little of his porridge. mama ended up finish up his porridge when we get home. ian was eating slow as he needs to chew his rice. so, ah poh, ku ku and seh ku went off 1st. somehow, later this was our great time together...

almost miss this out... during our dinner, mama actually did not buckle ian up in his baby chair. actually mama lately did not really do that in almost all occasion. *ahem* can say that ian have been behave good. suddenly we notice that he has been buckled up. uhh! he actually did that on his own. haha.. then we witness he unbuckle and buckle a few times on his own before the buckle start to get a bit stubborn and play him out. he fail to unbuckle after he buckle himself. haha.. but is really cute watching him do it repeatedly...

while we walk over to the garden, we spotted an advert for phineas and ferb cartoon. ian watched them when he is still watching disney channel. now we switch him to playhouse disney channel. he happen to watch them again when he is admitted to sunway. when we saw that advert, mama said "what you doing?"... haha.. ian giggle. so cute... we repeated few times and each time he will giggle. then, mama felt like taking a shot of us. we stop by on our way and tada! this is the shot. consider not bad, right?



we just walk around. there is nothing much. when we are about to leave isetan, we spotted the thomas and friends toy train being displayed (moving). ian was so excited. he hold himself up in his stroller to get a better view. cute...

then we meet up with them and shop a little while at jusco before we head home. that's our saturday...

on sunday, we went to the park instead of mpsj field. mama let ian run around at the basket ball field 1st. later spotted that the futsal field was empty. bring ian in (is surrounded by fence). he ran a while and started to walk towards the door (wanted to go out) already. so mama bring him to the playground. let him play with the bouncer. not long, he then tried to come down on his own. then, walk towards the slide. yes, the slide! ian always like that. he actually tried made his own slide at home. how? he place the cushion chair, then the stool next to the cushion (single), where we use to put his car seat. he will climb from the cushion chair to the stool and finally to his car seat. just like a slide steps. then he will slide down from his car seat. gosh! wonder where he got that idea. but he no longer able to do that. we kept everything. only left the cushion...

since mama is alone, so mama wanted to let ian try doing it by himself. let him climb up on his own. get him to sit down when he is at the top of the slide and get him to push himself down while mama just watch by the side just in case. great! he did it by himself. later everyone joins in and we have some fun watching ian playing the slide. he wanted to be adventurous. so we let him do it. he crawl through the tunnel to the other slide and slide down from there. cool!

we went to pelita to have roti canai for breakfast. ian tried roti kosong this round while waiting for roti telur. yummy! he likes it. then we head home. papa drove ah poh and ku ku to pay ronnie, ah pek's little princess a visit. seh ku brought her work home to do, so she is in her room. mama had some time alone with ian before his his lunch time. he run around the house. then, mama thought of taking some shoots. tada! actually there are quite a number of nice ones but these are mama's favourite. more to ian looking cool in them.





papa get home just in time when mama giving ian a shower before his nap. we all took a nap. later woke ian up for his class. feed him some milk and we left for his class. this time, ian did better. of course compare to last week. but then last week he did quite bad. so, up to you how you want to grade it...

what ian learn this time? mostly new things...

learning alphabet "q" - how to write (on a laminated cardboard with letter "q" on a queen's head - little "q")

learn "q" for queen, quilt, quil, quiet - given a small piece of quilt to play. given a quil's feather to play

story telling - 5 little ducks. ducks quack. counting 5 ducks, 1 swim away, left 4 and so on...

learn quater - how to fold a square into quater. fold 4 quater to form a square. count the quater

art - made a queen's crown. this is the fun part. those kids are so fond of the crown. some wanted to wear it so much that they even wore it during the tumble tots session. haha.. but our ian, always refuse to put anything on his head. mama have to hold his hands to catch the following shoot (we saw people started taking photos, we took also. hehe..)

we enjoys the tumble tots session. why? there are few kids that were so funny. ian's "friends". we (the parents) giggle while watching them. haha..

remember the stick last week? mama start to worry when she spotted the other group playing with the stick. but not too bad. ian actually did some of the things when the instructor told him to. of course with mama's help. but definitely better than last week. at least no accident...

at the end of the session, they had a birthday song singing session for a little girl. they had a fake cake for the candles for the kids to blow. the little girl was given a balloon. later, they get the kids to collect a flower from the instructor to be given to their mummy. of course mama have to guide ian to get it. you guess what? instead of getting the flower, he detour and grab the little girl's balloon. lucky it did not burst. huh! ian showed his "geli" face after he touched the flower. haha.. later they ask the kids to give their mummy a hug and a kiss. ian did hug mama but no kiss. but is indeed sweet...

papa wanted to buy some curry puffs from uncle lim. while he queue for it. mama walk ian around. once mama let him free. he run like crazy. ohh.. no.. no more running. papa is done. there we go home. papa bought a roti bakar for ian. yummy! he enjoys it. we went home to pick up ah poh, ku ku and seh ku to have dinner at ta ku's house.

ohh.. ya. went we drop by at ta ku's house yesterday, ian as usual wanted to walk up and down the stairs. you guess what? he manage to walk up on his own. but he will make sure that mama is following him (he on and off turn to ensure that). so cute... so, he did that again on sunday. while papa bring ee po, ah poh, ta ku and su ean jie jie to the dvd shop, ian behave so well that mama have to jot it down. he can sit between seh ku and mama to watch tv. is actually so hot that we can see he is turning red but he still can sit quietly. of course with some movement but is really cool! later we went home...

so that's our cool weekend... so, isn't it true? is not that bad after all. indeed it is cool!

mama look back at the post on self feeding, then she realize that she only jot down story on the feeding grapes with spoon but not the fork.

actually, the next week after ian feed using spoon, mama had this thought. eating with spoon is harder as ian still don't know how to control and position the spoon in order for the food not to fall down. but if he uses a fork, the food will not fall. so, mama let ian feed himself grapes using fork. yes! mama is right! is much easier. mama only feed ian once with the fork. then, place the fork with grapes on the bowl in front of him. the moment he saw that, he pick it up and feed himself nicely. haha.. mama later video a few of it (only 1 mouth each in the video). that's how ian started to self feed using fork. from then on, when we eat out, ian will self feed his fish balls using fork.

mama had wanted to let ian self feed his pear/apple next. but then since those pears were bit soft because we bought it some time ago and due to ian started to cough after his HFMD, so we did not let him have them. therefore they turn a bit soft by time ian have them. finally mama got a chance on monday to let ian self feed his pear. mama cut them in the size of 1/8 of the pear. for the 1st 1/8 he play with it a bit, eat a bit clumsily but after he get the touch he manage to do it nicely. although there were times when he accidentally slip the piece off but he tried to hold/balance it with his body (his hand hold it to his body). a bit messy but is still good. mama so happy. clever boy!

yesterday, ian self feed his apple...

1st hair cut at salon - weekend...

yes! this weekend's highlight will be ian's 1st hair cut at salon...

is a long weekend. labour day holiday fell on friday. so, we went back to melaka early friday morning. let ian skip his morning milk feed. fed him some swiss roll on our way back to melaka. bring him along for breakfast. papa had his favourite duck mee. did let ian try some duck meat but he don't really likes it. also he chew very long. papa ordered fish balls for him (ah poh said those are hakka style fish balls). he also refuse to eat. funny uhh? so, let him eat swiss roll.

lots of 1 day special sales for that day. giant selling enfagrow a+ 650g at rm27.90. is cheap! we went to giant after breakfast. we ta pau the fish balls for ian. feed him while we shop at giant. he likes them. funny uhh? might be due to hot and stuffy at the hawker center. went home for lunch as ah poh cook. top ian up with his porridge. hehe.. he finish his fish balls.

ian took his nap after that. we also took a rest. after the nap, feed him milk and there we off to the salon. the salon where papa cut his hair since he was schooling. we let ian watch papa get his hair cut 1st. then we let him have his. we have been thinking hard how to make ian seat still to get his hair cut. mama use to be his barber. thanks to jay chou mama able to do her job so far. so what should we do when we are at the salon? hehe.. we so happen to found and notice that ian could really watch danny and daddy and also bola kampung intro quietly for long. so mama had them recorded in her hand phone. play it while ian had his hair cut. cool! he will just turn his head to where mama place her hand phone. this allow the barber to easily cut those area that is needed. haha..

he watched 2 danny and daddy plus half of a bola kampung intro for the entire process. mama continue to let him finish the bola kampung intro after the hair cut is done. he is just so cute! he walk slowly while continue to watch. once finish he start to run. haha.. isn't that cute?

tada! ian after his "nice" hair cut. why mama called it "nice" because is done by a professional and not mama. hehe.. this hair dresser cut papa's hair since papa is schooling. papa only let him cut his hair. papa said that he no longer cut anyone's hair except for regular customer like papa. so ian is so lucky that he cut for him. hehe..



when we get home, ian has his shower. a "real" shower. "real" as in he took his bath under a shower. the weather is really hot. so, we did not even need to use the heater. actually mama had started ian on shower back in usj. there we do not have heater. so, due to the hot weather the water is not cold. so, mama rinse ian under the shower everytime after his evening bath. he likes it but he of course will struggle a bit when the water gets on his face. must be the breathing problem. that's norm. so this will be another highlight. ian's 1st shower. a "real" and "full" shower bath.

mama cook, get everything ready and took a shower then papa drove us to poh poh's house. we hang around there until papa came to pick us up when they are ready to go for dinner. ian run around (chasing) with kai kai ko ko. ian even turn off poh poh's tv while she is watching tv. he also played with poh poh's chest of drawer's knob. attempt to turn them around. hehe.. he also press and press the cpu's start button. kong kong get home just in time before papa came and pick us up.

we had wan tan mee for dinner. again ian refuse to try any of it. but lucky that we have enough porridge for him as he did not have much for lunch since he had his fish balls this morning. uhh.. there is another highlight here. ian 1st time sitting on his own. although there is baby chair but they are dirty. so we stack up 2 chairs and put ian on them. although ian did not really totally sit still but is consider good enough as is managable. *big smile* *big clap* for our ian...

just before we left, while mama buy some kuih for tomorrow's breakfast (vegetarian as is buddha's birthday) we bump into kau fu and janice jie jie. we went to tesco. mama bought ian's veggies. bought 2 pack of "l" size mamy poko for ian as it is only rm41.99 (cheap). we gave ian his favourite corn flakes while we shop. when papa is queuing up to pay, mama was thinking to let ian walk around. but never know that this little boy's love for his corn flakes is much more than walking. he make noise and turn to walk back to the trolley (he sat on the trolley just now). so mama put him back at the trolley and let him continue with his corn flakes. later we went home and that's our friday that full of highlights for ian...

saturday morning, mama went to temple with poh poh and kong kong. kai kai ko ko also follow us along. the praying ceremony started late so we ended up went back late for our lunch. we planned for a lunch together for mothers' day celebration. yee ma and kau fu came back over the weekend as well. so, we have 10 adults plus 1 kid. ian hasn't really eat those food yet. hopefully he will soon be joining into the kid head count. we had vegetarian food since poh poh and mama were on vegetarian. we had lunch at the vegetarian shop near by (bachang).

ian was a bit cranky. bet must be sleepy so we ended up playing danny and daddy for him to feed him his porridge. what a useful and handy idea right? later ian had a try of the sweet potato cracker. is nice. but mama forget to had some that day. too busy with ian. papa they all commented that the previous vegetarian shop at melaka raya that we had for poh poh's birthday celebration last year food was better.

later after ian's nap, we pick poh poh and yee ma up to pay ian's little cousin a visit (fen piu yee's prince #2). ian skip his evening milk since he had lunch quite late. we intend to let him have his dinner earlier. gave him papaya on our way for the visit.

we had dinner at thong sui house. ian had quite a lot of fried rice. yummy... he is so full until we had to skip his night milk feed. look at how full he is... really no joke... but is so cute, exposing his little tummy... hehe...



that's our saturday. we woke up earlier on sunday morning due to ian's class in the evening. we left early. mama feed ian swiss roll and later fish biscuits (ah poh bought) on our way back to usj to keep ian a wake. yahoo! ian did not nap in the car. he really had a lot of the biscuits. so we only gave him some of his porridge to top him up. gave him a shower and put him to bed.


(look so serious - trying to get a comfy position to nap. after taken few shots, he smile ("curi-curi" type). hehe.. cute..)

wake him up around 3. feed him milk and off we go for ian's class. ian behave very badly. so disappointed. he refuse to do most of the things. even if he does he did them wrongly. never pay attention. anyway, nothing much new this week compare to last week. bet it must be a revision class. that's what they claim. is was letter "s" again. learning shapes - pick a shape and put into the basket. there are few times mama ask ian to go and pick a shape. he walk till there but just walk back without picking a shape. when ask him to put into the correct basket. all are wrong. even when mama purposely bring him infront of the correct basket, he can still put at the next basket. *sigh*

then put the correct shape (pieces of foam) to the appropriate shape on the drawing. this week's art is pasting nicely cut and drawn sheep, squirel, snake (animals start with the letter "s"), sunflower, sun onto the drawing. not too bad with this. as usual, too much glue and ian started to play with it. it end up all over his hand and also the drawing.

tada! they found it! this is ian's 1st drawing...



during the tumble tots session, they get the kids to play with 2 sticks. more to like control them. fail to get ian to do any of them. the moment he got those sticks, he try to join them. aisay... whatever you get him to do, he will just ignore and continue to try joining them. then when the instructor ask to use the stick to gently touch on the parts on his body, he also didn't do most of it. but when it comes to mouth. the moment mama look at him, he put into his mouth and give it a bite. gosh! but then does he really know that's his mouth?

the last and worst part come. towards the end, mama also cannot recall what did the instructor actually ask the kids to do. ian threw 1 of the stick. while mama try to pick that up, a little girl was nice, pick it up and bring it back to ian. mama try to get it from her. at that moment ian threw the other one and it goes straight to the little girl's direction. the stick hits her finger! poor girl. so paiseh... she did not cry but complain to her daddy. naught boy! so disappointed with him.

then we went home to pick seh ku and go to usj 19 carrefour. went there for times warehouse sales. bought a few sticker books for ian. did a quick shop at carrefour and went to taipan for dinner. we tried strawberry park. ordered fried rice. after ian finish his porridge, give him some fried rice. he had quite a lot. some shots taken while waiting for dinner to be served...

went to herbs. finally found a local honey for ian. pure honey from fraser's hill. shall let him try this weekend. then we went to guardian. papa need to use off those rm5 vouchers. we bought ian's teats. they are on 20% sales.

that's all for our long weekend...

day out...

papa was not feeling well on wednesday. he drop by to visit dr on his way back. dr gave him mc. papa plan to only go to work after lunch as he still has something to do in office. morning we went to do some banking. then had lunch at ah kong on our way back. mama tried ian with dried "kuey teow" instead of soup. he likes it. he even took papa's dried "wan tan mee". but then once he had the fish ball he don't want both of that. smart fellow. he finish up both mama's and papa's fish balls (6 in total) plus 3 pieces from the fried fish cake.

mama thought that it will be a short while so only took half a bottle of water for ian. but this boy always goes the opposite way. when you have a lot of water he only drink a bit but if you have not much he will drink a lot. this is what happen. so by time we have lunch no more water for him. mama let him drink mama's "liong sui" (cooling drink) - drink from those straw. he did not manage to drink on his 1st try. but then bet he must be real thirsty. hehe.. he did drink. papa commented, "so, it proof that he actually knows how to drink like this". aba then.. hehe.. he is just naughty and picky...

went home and top him up with some porridge. then we went to open a yippe account for ian. deposited rm250 to get a free coin box - a tiger with a computer. not really nice but is free... ian fall asleep while opening the account. he continue to sleep when we get into the car till eventually reach home on the bed. papa finally decided to take the entire day off... hehe.. lazy papa.. enjoy too much with ian's company. ian also enjoys it.

later in the evening, we went out for some snack. had something in happy beans. but we don't enjoy them that much. neither do ian. but he did try some. then we went to buy ian's veggies. this will free up our saturady morning as we plan to pay ian's little baby cousin a visit - ronnie, ah pek's little princess given birth on sunday. also to pay beaconhouse a visit as they are having open day. later we ta pau "pai kut wong" rice home for dinner.

ian did have a great day. he is always happy to have company instead of mama alone...

one day don't know what driven ian. he keep coming to grab his water bottle on his own to drink. he repeatedly did it many times. so happy.. happy as he wants to drink water. every time mama will have to make him drink. happy as he drink on his own. so cute..

eating rice cracker...
once ian breaks the cracker into 2. then he started eating. guess how he eat? he hold 1 piece at each hand. he then bite a mouth from each. hehe..
next encounter is.. again he breaks into 2. then he stack them together and eat them together like a burger. hehe.. cute, rite?

kiss...
that day when we are having writing session with ian. we have been playing writing with ian every evening on weekdays lately. mama was sitting beside ian. he suddenly turn and gave mama a "kiss" on the cheek. he did it more than once. actually before this, mama notice he did attempt to do it. there was once he even "kiss" mama on the lips. it happen when mama let him poo on his potty. he turn over and as mama was sitting higher than him, guess that's why he reach for the lips.

that day, ian gave his kiss to papa while papa carrying him. papa wipe off his saliva. papa, remember don't do that again ok? it will hurt ian's little heart one, ok?

i told papa that ian also push his cheek to mama's lips, asking mama to "kiss" him. as usual ian don't seems to do it while papa is watching. but then finally papa saw it. he did it so many times. even hold mama's head to press on his cheek. cute little boy...

ian is hot on this lately... when he play with his abc peg puzzle he will request us to say the letter when he pick one up. if you keep silent he will stare at you. if you did not notice it, he will grab your mouth with his hand, signalling you to "say it!". so you know why we got the idea of getting the alphabet bus. remember the doodle pro we bought together with the alphabet bus? it comes with some stamps of different shapes. he also expect us to say the shapes when he pick them up. cute! hehe..

mama was wearing a shirt with the word "sport". we were in the passenger seat while papa is driving. ian was touching the word. mama goes "s-p-o-r-t, sport", pointing at them while reading them. ian bring mama's hand to the word, signalling mama to do it again. it happen twice. then papa commented that, "ian, you could also do it yourself". "do it" as in "point it". then mama hold ian's finger to point them. there goes ian pointing at them while mama read them. haha.. at the end mama commented "you think mama is your elmo ah?" haha.. mama really feel like she is. the way ian point is like he is pressing the the alphabet on the alphabet bus. at the end he so geram and grab them while showing his "geram" face. sooo... cute...

all the 1st - weekend...

what an adventurous weekend ian had with all the 1st trial...

have been 2 weeks since our last visit to the park. the mpsj field was occupied for events so we went to the park. it rains last night so the ground is a bit damp. this time we let ian wear his snoopy shoes (given by ee po). we decided that is better to cover his toes next time we go to the park in case he hurt them. ian still remember the slide. he still remember that he has to walk up the stairs. he still remember that he has to sit down on top of the slide in order to slide down. so cute! but unfortunately due to last night rain, it was wet. so we couldn't let him play. instead mama wipe off the water from the bouncer and let ian play with it. at least something...

free to go
mama found a place for ian to run around. the basket ball field. usually it will be occupied but it was empty. so, mama bring ian there and let him free. the moment mama let go, he run. mama got to chase him in case he fell down. lucky no such incident happen. he enjoys running freely for a while. then he wanted to walk on the grass. he always fancy walking on the grass. something different my guess. mama have to pull him back to the field each time he try to walk out. he then slowly walk, trying to look for chance to get out. haha..

although this is not ian's 1st trial but is his 1st time having that solely for breakfast (besides his milk of course). usually mama will prepare some breakfast but not this round. however after a few mouth of "kuey teow" ian refuse to have it after he get choke. guess is too slippery. he even swallow the fish ball. gosh.. may be also due to the big spoon. he has to suck it in. eventually have to feed him using chopsticks. he only take the fish ball, fish cake and chicken meat but not the "kuey teow". papa also tried giving him some chicken rice.

mama purposely cook less porridge for ian. ta pau chicken rice for lunch. feed ian chicken rice for lunch. mama prepare half bowl (for porridge is 1 bowl). ian only had quater. consider ok for a 1st timer. he stare at his bowl after taken his 1st mouth. at a time he refuse to eat. mama tried giving him some water. uhh.. is too dry. he needs some water. then he continue. the ending part is just cute. he actually stand up to grab the water bottle on his own. hehe.. cute.. after drinking, he also refuse to eat. there it stops. eventually mama top him up with his porridge and some wafer. ya, ian's beloved wafer.

then mop him before he take his nap. papa went out for lunch with his friend.

went to mid valley in the evening. have been long since we last been there.

spaghetti

while mama shop for ian's food at jusco, papa bring ian around. there is this prego spaghetti sauce sampling. papa took 1 cup and let ian try. he loves it! mama later took another one and also check what sauce was it. is "cheese and herbs"! ian finish them. hmm.. now we know he can take spaghetti. hehe..

never know that the they have different menu among their branches. we planned to let ian have fried rice (we had that at the branch in the curve) but surprisingly, they do not have that in the mid valley branch. so we order rice and dish (fish and chicken) and let ian have some. ian did not have much of it but again not too bad for 1st timer. again we top him up with his porridge. did not let him finish it as he is quite full already. he make so much noise refuse to eat. but some of them are just due to he wants some water. after drinking some water he continue. but some he really refuse but papa manage to make him have them.

our mission to mid valley is to shop for ian's toys. yeah! we manage to get what we planned to get. mission accomplished!

abc peg puzzle (small letter)

the highlights goes to the alphabet bus. the moment ian saw it, he got hooked on it. we check out prices from jusco, toys 'r' us and isetan. when we have to leave that at jusco, ian gave a loud scream. lucky that ian so far was ok with such incident when we explain to him. at isetan we actually saw something better compare to this. it even includes phonics. it also teaches how to write the letter and even have a place for you to write on. but it was for age 4+. we tried to let ian play with it. he pushes it away and wanted the alphabet bus. the prices were same among the places but we eventually bought from jusco. we wanted to buy from isetan but they only left the last unit of the alphabet bus and they also do not have the doodle.

we have been having nice night sleep through the weeks. ya, the medicine. ian was on medication due to his cough (phlegm) and running nose. we stop his medication on saturday since he looks ok already. there our boy wakes up in the middle of the night. so much we wanted to go for the park session but we are just too tired for it. so we sleep through till around 9.

we drop by subang parade on saturday before we head for mid valley to make an appointment for a trial session for tumble tots at 12 on sunday. at 1st we planned to change to 4.30 session but since we woke up late papa suggest that we stick to it.

we had branch at appolo. ian just refuse to have the chicken rice. mama tricked him to have 1 mouth using fork but later on he knew the trick and we failed. papa tried to give him some "wat tan hor" but he don't really like it. lucky that papa order some fish balls. he finish them. again in between he wants to drink some water before he continue. we have to top him up with his porridge. again mama purposely cook less. we make sure he is not too full for his session later on.

tumble tots

we let ian try on the group for age 2-3. he seems to enjoy it. he keep smiling but unfortunately he can't really understand much yet so he need lots of mama's help. some of those kids there really can follow instruction and i would say is independent. really hope it will benefit ian. ian enjoys most are the climbing up and down. there is 1 routine that ian has to crawl through a tunnel. he is too interested in the tunnel and refuse to crawl out. papa have to carry/pull him out. the little girl behind ian can't wait but to skip that routine and over take ian. *sigh* "pai seh".. but that's kids, right?

when he is at the session where they teach coordinating skill, ian find it too boring and wanted to escape. he tried to run to the climbing section. funny boy. there is this routine that he has to do a summer sot. after 2 attempts where we have to make him put his head down on the mattress, the 3rd attempt, he automatically put his head down. cute right?

however, we have yet to sign up. the fee (offer) is only valid up to end of april. we still have time to look around for what we think is suitable of ian.

we bought mc nugget for ian for dinner. he had 1 piece + on the way home. he finish them up and his porridge for dinner later on. we went out in the evening after ian's milk feed to pay ambank bill and to usj 19 carrefour. we bought prego cheese and herbs spaghetti sauce for ian. papa plan to cook spaghetti for ian for coming sunday.

at night we let ian play with his 3 new toy! he enjoys them! but then as the usual ian, nothing will keep him for long. *sigh* bet that's boys...



(playing with his 2 new toy - alphabet bus and doodle... notice he play his alphabet bus upside down? *sigh* he always like to do that. if you hold the object so that he cannot turn it, he will just move himself. you just can't challenge him. he do the same when he play his peg puzzle...)

self feeding...

have been started to play bowl, spoon and cup with ian since this monday. instead of reading him books, which he already find it boring. will hold his hand to hold the spoon with his another hand holding the bowl. it goes.. "stir, stir, stir, scope, amm...". later follow by drinking water from his cup. just a little bit of water.

yesterday, ian had grapes. mama thought of it. so, let him had the feel of really eat something (self feed with guide). put a piece of grape on the spoon and place it in the bowl. then hold his hand to hold the spoon with his another hand holding the bowl. feed the grape into his mouth. mama start off with few spoon then let him initiate later on. which means, mama only hold his hand to make sure the spoon is in possible. action of putting into this mouth will be by him.

today, eating grapes again. mama tried to go more from yesterday. leaving the spoon with the grape in the bowl. hold one of his hand to hold the bowl and let him initiate to grap the spoon. he did! yay! but the spoon ought to be out of position. mama have to fix it.

there are some fun scene of it. ian is too rough. he attempt to grap the spoon to hard till the grape flew away. once it drop off to the floor. another time which the fun part, it flew up and drop back down to the bowl. isn't it fun? haha..

yummy wafer...

remember the wafer that papa bought from cold storage, summit? the one that ian try to reach from seh ku (read here).

actually papa bought it to be distributed as cny gift to relatives but unfortunately that we forgotten to bring them back to melaka during our trip back for cny. we totally forget about having them until mama saw them while trying to arrange the things in the room. papa took out and let ian try on sunday as we recall that ian likes it the previous time. but the naughty boy don't really likes it. we was wondering may be could be due to "masuk angin" already. wah! our boy really knows how to eat. only eat those that are good.

mama was think that she have to help finish them then. it was heavy rain on sunday evening so we did not went out to get bread. mama had the wafer for breakfast on monday. later mama had it in the evening when hungry. the little boy show so eager to have them. he really go after it until mama have to hide it from him. haha.. at night when seh ku and mama having biscuits, ian wanted the wafer again. he even chose the wafer after the "muruku". ohh.. will talk about the "muruku" story later.

so, why he refuse on sunday and wanted so eagerly on monday? mama was thinking may be he is a big bully of papa. ian often bully papa. but then papa bring up a good point that probably that could be the actual fact. on sunday, the wafer is from its original pack. monday they were placed in the container. uhh.. the container where all the cny goodies are placed in. since ian likes cny goodies so much, he could have thought that's some of them. haha.. good point.. silly boy..

so now the "muruku" story.. the next day after ian finish up the "keropok", he wanted the "muruku" when he notice mama eating it. is a bit spicy but since he is so eager in having a try so we give him. he likes it. haha.. he even chose the "muruku" after the "kuih kapit". but one funny thing. after eating the "muruku" for a while he went back to "kuih kapit" then only he get back to "muruku". he must have felt the spice so he wanted the "kuih kapit" to help to ease the feel. once he is ok so he went back to "muruku". isn't it cute? haha..

keropok...

ian really loves ah poh's homemade prawn crackers (keropok)...

mama ate some cny's biscuits. ian was looking but didn't show much interest. then mama thought of giving him some keropok. the moment mama took out the container and show ian he gets really hyper. jumping up and down. haha.. really cute.. mama let seh ku feed him. after he have his 1st bite he stick and wait for mama. we keep telling him seh ku is having it not mama. but he still stick with mama until seh ku show him the piece she is holding then he goes to seh ku.

he will go to seh ku once he has finished. if he happen to bite a small mouth, he will not run away. he will stay there as he knows he will soon finish that mouth and will bite for another one. cute right?

we only plan to give him 1 (heaty). he saw where mama put the container. he tried to look for it. seh ku give in and give him another piece but we keep telling him that's the last and he is not suppose to make noise. glad that he really do. never ask for another piece. cool!

1 more cute thing. when seh ku play and show those video she took on ian to ian he will look. hehe..

ohh.. another one more. he climb on to the cushion on his own. lying on it on his chest relaxing. when mama notice that, mama smile and ask him, "ian rest rest?" he shyly, came down from the cushion (clumsily. almost fell down...).

[note: the bad thing that he did yesterday was he poo twice at his diaper. the 1st attempt mama manage to catch it so manage to save 1 diaper. but not the other 2. the 1st poo at diaper is even worst. is watery. mama didn't notice till it stains his pants. even the car seat also get some as he is watching tv sitting at his car seat. mama is really disappointed. wonder when he will learn and how can we make him learn...]

ian was having fun playing with mama while mama preparing to cook his porridge at the dry kitchen. he is there waiting at the safety gate. mama will jump out (let he see me) shouting "ta da". he is so happy, laughing and running away as though mama is going to chase him. that's his style. when he is happy he will run around screaming, laughing. seh video some part of it. cute to watch it. he will run back to the gate again and there it goes repeating the process...

while feeding ian, mama try to play with him. we have been playing counting fingers (open up) from 1 to 5. out of the blue, mama just thought of playing count down, 5 to 0 (closing). each time when it reaches "0" ian will laugh. he seems to like it. the fun part was suddenly while he is walking around playing on his own, he walk to me, pull my hand and start to make me count down. haha.. so mama just entertain him. too bad that he doesn't seems to have enough of it. mama told him i have to work. cannot work with only 1 hand. but he refuse and make noise. i was stun. don't know what to feel about it. funny? hmm...

we have been playing this with ian as i said but is always using our fingers. suddenly mama notice that ian did it on his own fingers. hehe... really cute...


[car lights...]
every time when papa is home, while he drive in, ian will get to his hyper mode. what is it about? he saw the car lights shine into the house on the wall. he will start to run to the wall and run to the gate watching the car lights. keep repeating it while he will scream and laugh happily...

happy valentine's day - weekend...

we seldom get valentine on weekend. but we don't really celebrate actually. papa's motto - "if you are happy everyday, everyday is a special day. so nothing special about all these days..."...

but we did have something special on that day. family event at "park"... papa bring us to mpsj field. papa go for his jog and mama walk ian around. around on grass, walking path, running track... ian likes the grass. he never walk on grass before. although he is walking at the walking path, he will walk towards the grass. cute... each time when we bum into papa running over, mama will let him go. he will run towards papa. cute...

ian with his jogging outfit. mama bought him a pants for jogging quite sometime when papa started going for a jog last time. then papa stop. at that time ian just started walking so mama push him around on his stroller. this is the 1st time ian on his outfit but too bad mama forget to take a photo of it. he looks so cute on it. at 1st i remember but then i can't take it on my own. then when papa is done we left and i totally forgot about it.

we had dinner with ee po at mid valley. bought ian's veggies before that. we went there earlier. feed ian milk and bath him after his afternoon nap and we went there. after dinner papa brought ee po to buy dvds.

we did not put ian on his stroller. so mama put his water bottle at the side of his backpack. unfortunately, papa drop it and it breaks. ian got to drink water from mama's bottle with the straw from his bottle. he sense weird and did not drink much. we manage to get a replacement but it did not look as good and yet is more expensive. we only paid for SGD 1 for the bottle - cheap...

sunday was a tired day for mama. ee po help to buy chicken and fish for ian. mama took hours to get them done. in the morning we went to our house in putra heights after breakfast. ian was having fun running round the master bedroom and walking up and down the stairs. papa ta pau "bak kut teh" for dinner.

ian had his hair cut. mama did a poor job. cut ian's front fringe too short. hope it will grow long in time by the time we go back melaka early march for ian's 2nd birthday celebration. we will take lots of photos...

that's our weekend. nothing much but fun being together. papa said will go to the "park" every weekend...

2009 chap goh meh...

it falls on a long weekend. papa decided to go back melaka. usually, papa will surely not. we just came back from melaka for a week. why? don't know...

went back on early saturday morning. had "big pau" for breakfast. papa have been thinking of having it since the last trip we came back from melaka. papa even tried to buy some from here. but melaka's still the best. the skin is so much thinner and the pork is so much juicier. papa had 2. gosh... i still recall when i just met papa (during schooling days), papa said that he can have 2 "big pau" plus 1 "loh mai kai". scary right? hehe...

let ian tried some "char siew pau". we later went to carrefour. had cakes at zen. feed ian lunch there. ian don't like the cakes. skip lunch. at night we had "wan tan mee". papa's number 1 favourite.

then we go to giant. yee ma came back. never know negeri sembilan also got holiday for thaipusam. yee ma drive poh poh with kai kai ko ko and tou tou di di to giant to with us. ian wear the orange t-shirt that matches with papa's. cute ian walking with papa holding his hands. when he jump and run, papa do the same. really cute watching them from the back. mama don't usually get to see how cute ian was when he walk as i usually hold his hand to walk.

sunday... had "bihun kuey" for breakfast. we have been having this as part of our routine food when we are back in melaka lately. went tesco. we had "nasi lemak" for lunch. one of papa's favourite. mama likes melaka's style nasi lemak because there is "kangkung". went back to poh poh's house after ian's nap and milk. open hamper, chit chatting. kau fu is back as well. ah poh cook at night. stay home night.

came back to usj on monday morning after breakfast. papa had "big pau" again. aiseh...

mama bought all veggies in melaka. don't have to go out. had burger with bread at night. how wonderful. everyone get to go upstairs before 8pm. mama even get to nap for a while. but veggies from melaka is really lousy. only manage to get the not so bad out of the bad...

something cute: we gave ian prawn cracker that ah poh made. he loves it. there was once, while seh ku having it, he keep staring at her. mama took a piece to feed him. he can't bite his 1st mouth. usually if he can't bite a mouth he will not want anymore. but then for this, he keep trying till he get a bite. after finish he even call for mama to get another bite. soooo cute... he really know what he is eating. papa will give him a piece as a reward if he good boy finish his meal.

can't help it but to jot this down. toooo cute to forget...

mama's colleague organize a lou sang dinner last night. papa happen to agree to it. the dinner starts at 8pm therefore papa say he most probably could make it. ian nap only for 1 hour up to around 2.15pm. tried to pat him for more than half hour but he just can't get back to sleep. just have to hope that he will not make noise during dinner.

1st cute thing... ian actually move a bit before 2pm. get him settled. while concentrating on looking that the logs, suddenly i felt that someone shake my chair. i was like gosh.. there is no one else in the house. i slowly turn around to check. as i turn and saw ian is missing from his mattress. goodness. he woke up and walk away quietly. he almost fall down as he is wearing socks (to keep his feet warm during nap as he had a bit running nose few days ago). bet that's the reason he can't get back to sleep. too waken up...

ian have been good boy. mama manage to get everything done as planned and there papa is back and we went for the dinner. everyone is there already.

2nd cute thing... after we put him at the baby chair while we start to address the rest suddenly we notice that ian is scanning through the people sitting around the table. when we notice that, while we stare at what he is doing he notice that we are staring at him. he shyly quickly turn around and stop scanning. cute right?

3rd cute thing... suddenly we heard the tai thong worker announce that choi san yeh is coming around with the song played a loud. we are sitting right under the speaker. ian was shock and look for the direction where the sound was coming. he then suddenly saw the choi san yeh walk towards my colleague sitting opposite us. he look shock staring at him. as he walk across, ian never leave his eyes from him. i was like gosh.. i think he is walking towards ian. i am right. he came to ian and give ian a mandarin orange. ian's expression tell us that he is scared and shock. he even push the orange away. lucky that the choi san yeh left fast otherwise ian might burst into tears. at 1st i thought that he don't like the orange because is cold but eventually after a few attempt of giving it to him, i think he just don't like its texture. he is really cute with his expression when he saw the choi san yeh. something that words can't describe/picture it. haha...

ian did behave but not for all of course. but still ok. we started him off with grapes. he refuse to eat at 1st. then ok. but refuse again after about eating half of it. then we give cornflakes. this was the best and last the longest. but eventually he play with it and finally don't want it. we give him book to flip. it lasted a while and he threw the book off few times. no choice, we have to give him his pacifier. he also give some hard time with it. trying to pull and bite the clip. soon we left. the dishes was fast. guess we only miss the desert.

mama's colleague wanted to carry him but he refuse and keep shouting "don't want" in his language then start making noise. hai... but still ok la. thanks ian for behaving. thanks pa for making it happen.

something bad... something good...

got something bad from ian but he repay with something good. whether the good can cover the bad? don't know.

let's start with the bad. people always like to end with something good. ian now manage to pull off his plaster with his hand. witness it myself as he did it in front of me. god! before this he will put into his mouth till the plaster get soften. he either chew the plaster or play with it. he is now more advance - just pull off - still dry.

he pull off up to 5 times yesterday. i ended up wack him. so naughty. tell him so many times that he might hurt it again by doing so and yet he keep doing. i wish to put an end to the plaster. really get so tired keep an eye on him since having the plaster.

today, even worst. 6 times. i just change it for him after shower. not even 15 minutes he pull it off. wack and wack him. let him cry. after putting back on him went to cut pear for him. when i am cutting, he is so silent i already prepare myself that he might have pull it off again. i am right. within half hour twice. although i already prepared for it but i am so angry. wack and wack him - even worst than before. this is the 5th time.

seh ku will be back late today. i try to cook. but break the process. cannot leave him unattended too long. but there is 1 time that i take a bit long. there he pull off again. the 6th time. speechless. just beat his hands. no energy to wack him already. i get tired each time i wack him.

ok. that the bad thing. move on to the good thing. today, we are late. usually i will try to guide ian to say bye bye to papa when papa go to work. also blowing a kiss - french kiss. due to late, papa just called out bye and i told ian to say bye. he did not bye as usual. did not look at papa also. but he eventually turn to look at papa. when he turn away, to our surprise, he blow kisses. few times. haha.. although not looking at papa but papa is so happy.

ian learn. we know but he don't usually do it. or in other words he refuse to do it. but he will once awhile surprise us by doing some of what he had learned...

a great long week...

went back to melaka on christmas eve. papa got half day off. went back in the evening after ian's nap. there it starts the great long week...

24th (wednesday)...
ku ku bought (ordered) chicken and pie from some christian for dinner. for the fun of having a feast during christmas eve.

25th (thursday)...
shop at tesco in the morning. ian slept in the car on our way leaving tesco for lunch. had lunch at a restaurant opposite "pei tak". let ian continue to nap on mama's shoulder while waiting for lunch to be served. poor thing. he cried when being waken up for lunch.

papa and mama take turns to get our hair cut. planned to go together leaving ian sleeping while seh ku help to watch him but it has a long queue. got to go back later. shop at giant and guardian at night. crazy collecting stamps for ian's paddington bear backpack.

26th (friday)...
went to poh poh's house in the morning. play with kai kai ko ko and tau tau di di. went to temple. ian slept on the way to temple due to the jam. woke up in the temple. can't sleep well on mama's shoulder. nap a while only. on the way home, saw xuen xuen mei mei at poh poh's house.

went all the way to pulau gadong to buy roti john. while having fun chit chatting and eating, ian put the plaster in his mouth. when mama try to dig out he somehow swallow it. whole night worry about it.

27th (saturday)...
waited for ian to poo out the plaster. didn't see it in his morning's poo. after lunch, let ian poo as usual. finally, the plaster is out. saw it in the poo. the poo is watery so is pretty obvious.

had kfc at mahkota parade for dinner. shop around for a while then went home. bought and added micropore on top of the plaster to prevent it from getting off easily. really worry that ian might swallow it again.

28th (sunday)...
papa, seh ku and ku ku got yoong association meeting in the morning. we went back to poh poh's house. ian did not poo in the morning. poo during lunch at poh poh's house. make mama "kelam kabut". after the break he make so much noise. refuse to finish the porridge.

ian almost fall asleep while we drive out to ta pau. he make noise when carry him down from the car when we reach home. let him roll on the mattress. let him try to get to sleep. papa is on his way. when papa drop by ian haven't fall asleep so papa bring ian back to ah poh's house to nap. mama stay on to chit chat with poh poh.

brought poh poh and ah poh to the store (was originally fajar). wanted to buy them clothes for cny. poh poh insist of not getting any. poh poh join us for dinner. had dinner at "chung hua lou".

29th (monday)...
there goes our stay in melaka. we head back to usj in the morning. visited dr emma on our way home as mama's face is down with some allergy. dr suspect is allergy towards dust mite. she suggest to get allergy pills from her during our next trip back to melaka for cny for in case. she suggest to put the pillow under the sun in case there is really any dust mite. mama got a day mc for tomorrow. had ah koong for dinner.

30th (tuesday)...
papa is off. went for dental appointment in the morning. went to sunway piramid after that. ian can't get to nap on the way there. the distance is too short. shop for ian's veggies. we had lunch at shogun. mama buy papa as mama got the payback for her earn leaves for 2007.

ian did not poo in the morning. he poo while having lunch. clean him up and continue with lunch. feed ian steam egg, chicken, some watermelon and papaya. he make noise towards the end. is almost time to sleep. we left and ian nap on the way home. continue to nap when we reach. papa cook for dinner.

31st (wednesday)...
is a normal working day but papa came home early. he ta pau food for us
1st (thursday)...
ian had a hair cut. more and more difficult to cut his hair. he is very impatient. or may be this time his hair is a bit too long. take longer time.

had breakfast with ee po at chow yang. ee po help to buy chicken for ian. went to mid valley after that. ian nap on the way there. shop for ian's veggies while he sleep. wake him up for lunch. we had lunch at the gurney, garden.

shop around. guardian having special new year sales. giving out vouchers. we also aiming for stamps for ian's paddington bear backpack. spent a lot. crazy! not enough! on the way home, went to guardian at taipan because mid valley's don't have something we wanted. not enough again! went to guardian at sunway piramid at night. had dinner at nandos. too bad that still don't have something we wanted.

what a tired day of hanging out almost whole day...

2nd (friday)...
mama working. papa is off again. he take care of ian. papa cook for 2 meals. seh ku is off too. she help out with ian.

3rd (saturday)...
stay at home day after all the tiring shopping day. had breakfast at pelita. went out for dinner with ee po at ss2, "wai sek kai". very long never been there since ian's arrival. quite fun. at least ian behave so that we can have our dinner. purposely feed ian at home before we went out. feed him manggo there. shop again at ss2 guardian. never ending...

4th (sunday)...
papa cook spagetti for 2 meals. went to subang carrefour to buy ian's veggies. papa knock the back of a car while looking for parking. paid the uncle rm50. what a luck... this is the 1st accident with ian in the car if i recall correctly. went to summit. for guardian again! worst! there's nothing there. have to go to taipan's.

something cute: papa bought some wafer from cold storage. try out in the evening. papa let ian try some. he then saw seh ku also having some. he walk to seh ku (in his playpen) and try to use his hand to reach for the wafer that seh ku is having. he repeat this few times. he seldom get so interested in any food till he do something like this. hehe...

that's the great long week. what so great about it? note that mama don't have to worry about food, about ian as papa is around. not much stress. but sometimes is tiring due to shopping. papa likes to shop. but mama really feel that she is getting old. really tiring...

pouch...

ian with his new pouch. a free gift from buying 2 promo pack (buy 5 free 1) of dutch lady chocolate milk from carrefour not long ago. we forget about it till seh ku saw it in the plastic bag with the milk (when she took a pack of milk to drink).

cute? mama put some toys in it and he took them out 1 by 1. then running up and down with the pouch on his waist. hehe.. mama can only put it on him with the smallest adjustment and yet it eventually fall off after he run up and down for a while.
